News On The "Ur So Gay" Song, By Katy Perry

As said before, Katy Perry's song "Ur So Gay" was about her ex-boyfriend, but what was not known, or maybe was known, but I just was not informed earlier, was that the song may even be about Jared Leto.

I found out that it could be about Jared Leto when I was on you tube watching the video "Ur So Gay." I like to read the comments underneith the videos to see what people think of the songs. So when I was reading them, I came across one comment that made me think. The comment said that this person was told or thought or even knows that this song was about Jared Leto. Now, because I wasn't sure and I'm still not totally sure, I decided to watch more and research more about this. I found an acoustic version of "Ur So Gay" and I was surprized one of the verses she changed up. Orginally, in the second verse, the last line she says is "I cant believe I fell in love with someone that wears more make up than me," then leads into the chorus. But as I listened, Katy changed it up and instead, she said "I cant believe I fell in love with Jared Leto." No I dont know if Katy was just comparing her ex to Jared Leto, or if she was actually talking about Jared, but from what I know, she never dated Jared Leto. Or else I was never told that they ever dated.

It seems to me that Katy was just comparing her ex to Jared because, honestly, he does look like he is gay sometimes, by the way he dresses. No wonder people would confuse him to be gay or bisexual, not trying to be disful, though. Even though I am a big fan of Jared Leto and his band, 30 Seconds to Mars, I think that if I was Katy Perry, I probably would compare a boyfriend or ex boyfriend to he did dress like Jared Leto.

Well. hopfully it was just a joke and it really wasn't meant to be against Jared, but i wouldn't know because I dont talk to him, I've only talked to Katy and she never said if the song was about Jared or not. Well, thats all I know of the song for now.

Katy Perry, from Santa Barbra, California, has been working very hard to release her first CD, entitled "Katy Perry: Ur So Gay". Her EP is said to arrive in June this summer. Be on the look out because this pop/rock dynamic singer/songwriter has major talent.





With the release of her first single, "Ur So Gay", which came out in November, 2007, she has caught the attention of many people. This song was said to be about her ex-boyfriend and how she had strong feelings for him, but he did not return those feelings, so instead of saying how stupid she thought he was, she says that he is "so gay". Many people, I've heard, were taking this song the wrong way and need to know that Katy didn't mean for this song to be used against gays, she is not homofobic, so understand that she is not trying to affend anyone.





Perry has worked with many producers to release this CD and many of which have worked with some of the most talented singers, Avril Lavine and Kelly Clarkson, to name a couple. And the working with them and having her own unique way of making her songs sound good makes her very talented, also. As she says in an interview, "One of the unique things about me recording is that I like to put down the vocal track with all the lights off in the studio. If I remember the lyrics, I don’t want anything to get in the way.I want to be a voice in the darkness. That’s not weird is it? It’s not like I’m naked or anything." Katy's senses of humor is good, but can be taken affensivly, for example, in the song "ur so gay" as I said before. It gets taken the wrong way and people complain about it, which gets so old. So don't take it the wrong way...
